CANA DUNLAP | Voted Top 10 Charleston Photographer

CHARLESTON WEDDING AND PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

Hey! Welcome ✌🏼 I am Cana (pronounced kay-nuh) Dunlap.

I am a single mama to 3 amazing humans, and when I am not out on a photography project, you can almost always catch me out on an adventure with them. I’ve been a wedding and portrait photographer based in the beautiful Charleston, SC area for over 14 years. It’s truly a joy to me to get to help people create such amazing family heirlooms. I absolutely love the creative work that I get to do and the relationships that I get to build with my beloved clients. You might start off as a “client,” but I promise you, we will be friends and I will be your biggest hype girl by the time I deliver your final gallery!

MY STYLE: I like to describe myself as having a romantic blend of cinematic, photojournalistic & documentary images that tell a story and highlight the authentic, natural, emotion-filled moments.

I want to do so much more than just take a “pretty” picture for you. I want to help you tell your authentic story! I want to help you create photographic family heirlooms that will be passed down for generations to come.

POST-PROCESSING: I love keeping the tones in my images “true to color,” which means I won't make any drastic color editing changes during post-processing. I’ll richen up the natural tones of the images and highlight how the natural lighting was photographed. I would say that my work is not considered “light and airy” or “dark and moody,” but it falls right in the happy middle. Properly exposed light and natural, warm, rich colors are my jam.

Thank you so much for being here. I know photographer options seem limitless, so the fact that you’re here AND you read all of this makes me believe that you didn’t just “happen upon” my page by accident ✨. Let’s talk :)

Shoot me a message and let’s jump on a quick connect call to see if we would be a good fit to work together. I promise I’ll be super honest if I think someone else would be a better fit to serve you. The worst that could happen is you make a new friend that can help point you in the right direction!
