Christy & Jamie {High Cotton Wedding | Charleston SC}

Christy and Jamie were married in the private courtyard of High Cotton Restaurant in downtown Charleston, with their reception to follow in the French Quarter Room. Before I delve into the details of their sweet, intimate wedding, can I first say that I loved working with these guys?! From the moment I met them, I could tell they were star-struck in love. We roamed around downtown, and I'm not sure who had more fun. I mean, what photographer doesn't love it when the bride says, "Can we run out and take a photo in the middle of the road?" Christy was very involved in planning the details of this gorgeous wedding, and with the help of her mother and aunt, they made the whole day a success. Christy's flowers had a wildflower inspiration feel with a pop of bright pink, and both Christy and Jamie's children carried classic Charleston sweetgrass flowers, wrapped in burlap. How amazing is their cake? Can you believe it was made by one of Christy's friends? I know, my jaw dropped as well when I learned that fact. Have fun swooning over these photos!

Rian and Jionte {Charleston, SC Engagement}

Get ready for the LONGEST engagement session sneak peek I've EVER posted :) Once again this session just goes to prove how incredibly blessed I am to do what I love and have the clients I have. Rian emailed me a few weeks ago about doing their engagement photos and right off the bat I knew we were a great fit! So come to find out once we finally met face to face Jionte and I kind of knew each other! I think the first thing out of my mouth was "whoa, you look familiar!". Jionte is a musician and sometime last year we both played/sang together a few times at Seacoast church...I love it!

I just want to say that this couple not only makes my heart SO happy but they both inspire me so much. Their love for the Lord and for each other is a such blessing to experience. It's definitely written all over these photos and that is one of the reason I do what I do. Thank you both for letting me share this joyful time in your life, Jionte and Rian!

Katie & Adam {Charleston, SC Wedding}

I could not be more excited to share this wonderful couples wedding! I met Katie and Adam last year when I had the pleasure of photographing their Engagement Session. To be honest, this couple has inspired me in so ways! I remember leaving their engagement session thinking "this is why I love what I do!". I felt the same way as I was leaving their gorgeous wedding. They are so insanely in love with each other. It's hard to miss! Whenever I wanted a good picture all I had to do was tell Adam to look at his bride...SWOON. They tied the knot at their home church St. Andrews Church . Followed with a reception at Alhambra Hall in Mt. Pleasant, SC. I just need to brag on Katie a little and say that she did all her flowers herself AND made her wedding veil! It was outrageously beautiful.

Let me just say...If you want to make me (or any photog) happy, take a que from these guys. They were very intentional about carving out enough time to take a quick trip downtown for photos after the ceremony of just the two of them and even thought ahead and planned time during the reception to leave when the sun started setting to get gorgeous sunset photos (my favorite, by the way!). I have to admit my favorite part of shooting weddings is the time I spend with the Bride and Groom getting their portraits. ESPECIALLY at sunset with that gorgeous golden light!

It was more than an honor to be a part of their wedding day. I always feel so lucky with the wonderful clients I get to work with and Katie and Adam have a special place in my photographer heart! Thank you guys for letting me play a role in your wedding day and love story. It was BEYOND perfect.
