Alex + Chad | Magnolia Plantation Carriage House Wedding | Charleston Wedding Photographer

Here are a few of my favorites from Alexandra and Chad's lovely Magnolia Plantation wedding. They got married in late March inside the Carriage House with all of their closest family and friends. These two are so devoted to each other and have so many wonderfully blessed years ahead of them. I am so honored to have been a part of such a wonderful day! Congratulations Alex and Chad! Rian + Jionte | Moncks Corner Farm Wedding | Charleston Wedding Photographer

There are not enough words to describe the joy that I experienced photographing this wedding. I met Rian and Jionte last year when I shot their Engagement Session. We immediately hit it off and have developed such a sweet friendship. It's such a great benefit of being a wedding photographer! I love the wonderful people that I get to meet. I am blessed in so many different ways by each sweet couple I have the opportunity to work with. Rian and Jionte met at church about 10+ years ago. They led worship together at their youth group. They remained good friends for a long time, then they both realized they liked each other and they pursued a relationship! I love that Rian found a place around Charleston to have her barn wedding. There are not many venues around here like it! Oakley Farms is a gorgeous farm in Moncks Corner, SC. Sweetgrass Social did a phenomenal job helping Rian bring her wedding vision to life. Every corner of the Farm was beautiful. There were so many well thought out details and special moments throughout their wedding day. Ill share more info as you view their photos. Congratulations to a wonderful couple!

I LOVED this vintage photobooth backdrop made up of old doors. They set it up and let their guests share the photos on Instagram with their special wedding day hashtag. Sugar Bake Shop did a beautiful job on the Dessert Table. I am a big fan of opting for a dessert and small cake table as opposed to a large wedding cake.  They also used vintage glass plates, which added a great touch! This seating area is one detail Rian was really excited about seeing come together. The old fireplace mantel and vintage chairs from 428 Main Vintage Rentals looked so good. This canvas was hand painted by one of Rian's bridesmaids. I want one. WOW.The Ceremony door frame was made by one of Jionte's brothers. If you're having an outdoor wedding, I highly recommend something like this. It adds great drama to the brides entrance! I am not embarrassed to say I had to hold back the tears during this first look. I am such a huge fan of First Looks. Take that time to have some alone time with your groom. You will not regret it! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Ladies - WEAR A FLOWER CROWN. You will look like a goddess. Branch Studio Design ROCKED it on these flowers. Go book them for your wedding, now!During the ceremony Rian & Jionte's family gathered around them to pray over them and their marriage. It was an incredible moment to witness.  The Bridesmaid's necklaces were bought from 31 Bits. Check them out! It's a great way to give something back on your wedding day.One of the sweetest moments of the day was when Jionte surprised Rian with a song he wrote for her.

Sharon & Tom | Charleston After-Wedding Session | Charleston Wedding Photographer

Yesterday was Veteran's Day, and this post is in honor of all those who have and who continue to serve our country. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. It does not go unnoticed. Sharon and Tom met in college, where Tom took a fancy to her pretty quickly. Sharon, on the other hand, was uninterested, thinking Tom was just another frat boy. Soon after giving in to hanging out with him one day, her heart began to melt and soften towards Tom, realizing he was a very humble soul who made her laugh and giggle (which is very important, ladies!). The two began dating and decided to get married just before Tom left for Afghanistan for a year. When he got back, they decided to experience the whole newlywed adventure - they went on their long-awaited honeymoon, and decided to get their wedding portraits taken, which they traveled to Charleston for. What an honor it was to take photos for this beautiful couple! Thank you, Sharon and Tom, for choosing me to capture the beauty of your marriage! And a special thank you to Tom for his service. What a sacrifice this couple has made to be together. That is true love, my friends.
