This sweet family was an absolute dream to photograph! I knew from the very first email that I got from Jenna that we were going to have so much fun together. I met up with this beautiful family at Hampton Park in downtown Charleston for their photography session earlier this month. We spent our session together, exploring the park, following the amazing golden light and just having an all around fun time together. Callie and Carter are probably the best behaved and most photogenic kiddos I know! Carter could totally rock it as a child model. The camera loves him! Thank you, Workman family, for trusting me to take these photos. It is such an honor being invited into your life to help document your sweet growing family. I hope these photos are a special keepsake to remember these ever-fleeting moment as the years go by!

Emily + Phil // Downtown Charleston Engagement Session

I met up with Emily and Phil in downtown Charleston right before sunset for their gorgeous Fall Engagement session. We started at White Point Gardens and then I brought them around to some of my favorite downtown Charleston spots. This right here is proof that deep, genuine, good love still exists in this world! These guys just lit up around each other and you can see that tangible love that they have for each other. You can tell by the way they look at each other that they are totally all in and head over heels. I couldn't stop laughing and smiling when I was with them. We had so much fun together, exploring downtown, getting to know each other, and having an all around blast taking photos! They were a huge reminder to me of why I genuinely love my job so much.

These guys made my job so easy and I am literally counting the days until I travel to Grand Haven, Michigan for their wedding day! I can't wait to see these guys say their "I do's" and make this thing official :) Congratulations Emily and Phil! Rob + Rachel // Magnolia Plantation and Gardens Wedding

Rob & Rachel's wedding day was a dream. In the sense of: we could literally not have dreamt up a more beautiful wedding day for these two! How could you beat the ever-gorgeous Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, with it's magnificent, cascading trees, peaceful water views, and never-ending variety of scenery? Any wedding in a garden is a where I want to be! Walking along its unpaved paths through lush greenery reminds me of being in The Secret Garden. To top it off, Wildflowers Inc. made their wedding day even more decadent with rich, autumnal, dark red florals, adorned throughout the entire event.

From their ceremony under a grand oak tree at sunset, to their reception in the Carriage House, Francesca and Blake at Pure Luxe Bride did an impeccable job with their gorgeous design! They are one of our preferred vendors, and it's easy to understand why! It was impossible, as photographers, for my team and I not to overload our memory cards with photo after photo of each thoughtful, swoon-worthy detail. Rob and Rachel's elegant design included long elegant tables for guests with centerpieces of romantic, candlelit lanterns and unique florals, fabulous flowing drapery, an arbor over the bride and groom's table decorated with even more breathtaking florals, and a cake by Sablée that we just couldn't keep our eyes off of. I can't even describe to you how gorgeous it was! One of our favorite parts of the cake specifically was their hilarious cake topper! You just have to see it for yourself to grasp why!

It's always special when you can see a couple's personality playing into their wedding day through the small details, and being that Rob and Rachel were such a delightfully fun couple to work with, it seems fitting that they incorporated so much sparkle into their day! From Rachel's dazzling pink Jimmy Choos to Rob's sparkling shoes, to the beautiful photo booth backdrop that Rachel's mom made, it's clear that Rob and Rachel's special day was reflective of their shining personalities and love for each other. Rachel's enchanting Hayley Paige wedding dress was even graced with sparkle (Rob's dark blue suit was very dapper as well)! To top it all off, there was a polaroid camera set up in front of the photo booth backdrop so that guests could add their photo to the couple's guest book!

The sweet love surrounding this couple was made clear by personal touches, such as the locket Rob gave Rachel, which she adorned around her bouquet, and the quote they incorporated into their day:

"I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)"

As the night progressed, DJ Wade kept the party going strong! We loved working with this fun couple and the dream team of vendors that they selected for their special day. What a remarkably gorgeous and memorable wedding, and what a beautiful couple! Thank you Rob and Rachel for sharing with us your most special day!
